Our Journey
ZAM Unity Scholars International was born from the shared dream of Badi and Emelda, two passionate believers in the power of education to change lives. For over 13 years, they quietly supported students in need—one child, one step at a time—until challenges in 2024 inspired them to formalize their efforts and expand their reach.
Out of hardship came renewed purpose. What began as a personal commitment grew into a community-driven mission to give every child the opportunity to learn, lead, and thrive.
Today, ZAM USI stands as a testament to faith, resilience, and the belief that when people unite for good, transformation follows. Together, we can empower infinite possibilities through education.

Emelda’s journey is one of compassion, resilience, and purpose. Growing up in a family that deeply valued education and shaped by her experiences across diverse cultures, she developed a lifelong belief in the power of learning—especially for girls—to transform lives and communities.
Despite personal challenges and the ongoing conflict affecting her home region of Northwest Cameroon, Emelda has spent more than 13 years championing education with faith and determination. Her holistic vision combines academics with moral and spiritual growth, nurturing both minds and hearts.
As Co-Founder of ZAM Unity Scholars International, she continues to lead with grace and gratitude—turning empathy into action and inspiring others to join her in building brighter futures.
